Fiji Sea Farers working on foreign vessels bring in 15 million dollars in remittance annually.
These are the words of Fiji Islands Maritime Safety Administration Director Josateki Tagi as the country marked World Maritime Day last week.
Tagi said that there are approximately 1.5 million sea farers around the world and nearly 5000 registered under the Fiji seaman's registry, 400 are serving on board foreign vessels.
