Cyprus and Israel have signed a bilateral accord on streamlining cooperation in commercial shipping, the government reported.
The agreement provides for reciprocal servicing of Cypriot and Israeli ships while docked in each other’s ports, bilateral assistance in marine accidents, and cooperation in maritime training.
The agreement was signed by Cyprus’ Minister of Communications and Works, Nicos Nicolaides, and visiting Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Avigdor Liberman, the government (www.cyprus.gov.cy) said in a statement.
