Strategic Marine moves into steel shipbuilding

An associated company of Coastline Maritime Pte Ltd in Singapore has announced the placement of a newbuilding order for the hull of a 143m Diving Support Vessel with Strategic Marine Pty Ltd's Vietnamese subsidiary.

The hull, the second of this design, will be built at Strategic Marines’ new facility in Vung Tau, Vietnam.

The design, the same as the 2003-built Azteca, will be supplied by Coastline Maritime Pte Ltd.

Once completed, the hull will be outfitted by the owners with their own equipment package.
