Mexican oil giant Pemex has selected Spain's Dragados to supply a 187-berth accommodation unit, breaking with tradition in the process by accepting a floatover solution for the installation aspect.
Pemex tried to conclude the contracting process for the engineering, fabrication, supply and installation of the HA-LT-01 accomodation unit in two tenders last year, but ended up cancelling both after rejecting the prices offered, which were close to $180 million.
