Broker Nor-Ocean Offshore reports that PEMEX has or is in the process of cancelling several IMR and accommodation contracts due to budget restraints.
"This will again result in many vessels and units being redelivered from Mexican contractors to international owners," the broker reported.
Prosafe has already reported that its contract with Interpetroleum/PEMEX for the accommodation rig Safe Petrolia will end in October rather than at the end of December, leading to a cut of US$6.6 million in the total contract value.
