Three Gulmar DSVs released by PDVSA

Source: Ofshore Shipping

Gulmar Offshore Middle East has confirmed that three DSV - Gulmar Eagle, Adams Arrow, Boa Rover - which were working in Lake Maracaibo for maintenance of the oil and gas pipelines there have been released by Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) and are now sailing to the US and Panama.

The release by PDVSA comes after five months of negotiations resulting in the Venezuelan authorities removing these foreign flagged vessels from the list of assets that were to be potentially nationalized by the Organic Law of May 7th 2009.

Gulmar Offshore Middle East LLC continues to discuss with PDVSA compensation for the time the vessels were held in Lake Maracaibo and future possibilities for co-operation.
