Vacante Service Technician

The Service Technician must have good technical understanding and knowledge of a range of marine propulsion products, systems, their functionality and applications and possess the ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams and technical order to determine methods and sequences of assembly.​

Qualifications and experience: 

Basic:

·         Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineerplus three (3) years of hands on experience in the marine industry.​

·         Must be able to fluently communicate both verbally and in the written form in English

·         Must be available to provide Service Support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and/​or holidays

·         Ability to travel internationally

·         Reliable personal transportation sufficient for Service Support duties

·         Should be able to work extended hours and multiple consecutive days

·         May be exposed to harsh working conditions (hot and cold climates) and will be required to be physically capable to move on,off and around vessels on a regular basis (in line with the Health and Safety Policy).​

Preferred:

·         Demonstrated experienced with overhauling and repairing controllable pitch propellers and tunnel thrusters.​

·         Trained in installing and removing bearings, SKF couplings and evaluating gear profiles.​ Basic fundamentals with NDT testing.​
